The Monastery of São Pedro de Cete, also known as Igreja de São Pedro de Cete or Igreja Paroquial do Mosteiro de Cete, is located in Cete, a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Paredes.
This Monastery is part of the "Route of the Romanesque of Vale do Sousa" (Rota do Românico do Vale do Sousa).
Founded in the 9th century, it would have been a basilica dedicated to Saint Peter (Monasterio Sancti Petri de Ceti), occupied by Benedictine monks.
At the end of the 11th century, the monastery was rebuilt by order of Gonçalo Oveques.
At the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century, the church underwent a major renovation, including changing the size of the nave, rebuilding the chancel and altering the building's façade.
The current cloister, the tower and other elements of the set are the result of restorations carried out in the 15th century.
