MIRAMAR - CAPELA DO SENHOR DA PEDRA

Miramar beach is located in the parish of Arcozelo, municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, District of Porto, in Portugal.
It presents a "temperate maritime" or "oceanic" climate whose winds, coming from the west, are wet and cold.
It is characterized by being an urban beach, with extensive sand, and privileged conditions for bathers and water sports practitioners.

CHAPEL OF THE LORD OF THE STONE.
The Chapel of Senhor da Pedra is located in Praia de Miramar, parish of Gulpilhares, municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, district of Porto, in Portugal.
It was built on a rock by the sea in 1686.
It has a hexagonal plant. Internally it had a main altar and two side altarpieces of gilded wood in Baroque / Rococo style. It also has several religious statues, with emphasis on the image of Christ crucified.
On each side of the Chapel entrance, there is a monochromatic blue tile panel, with the following inscriptions:
On the left side;
THE PLACE WHERE THIS CHAPEL OF THE LORD OF THE STONE RISES IS CERTAINLY THE OLDEST PLACE OF CULTURE IN THE PARISH BEFORE HIM CELEBRATING CHRIST WOULD BE ALTAR PAGÃO.
On the right side;
THE ORIGIN OF THE POPULATION GROUP OF GULPILLARS GOES BACK TO THE GREATEST ANTIQUITY AS WELL IS DEMONSTRATED WITH THE NOTABLE ARCHEOLOGICAL SPORTS THAT IN THIS REGION HAS BEEN FIND.
